Flywheel Film's campaign for the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) celebrated six decades of the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) through a compelling omni-channel media initiative. The campaign showcased powerful stories from past participants and supporters, including DYCD Commissioner Keith Howard, who shared his own SYEP experience. With engaging video content and impactful branding, the campaign highlighted SYEP's role in shaping career paths and strengthening communities while encouraging potential employer partners to get involved in supporting the program's continued success.
We brought stories to life through authentic documentary portraits, featuring real New Yorkers like past SYEP participant and former NYC Deputy Mayor Ninfa Segarra
Our campaign earned an Anthem Award in the Education, Art & Culture - Community Engagement category, recognizing our impactful storytelling and design
